Service Information:

As a rule, the average cost for most computer repairs (repairs completed at PCR headquarters) is $65.00.  This fee includes pick-up and delivery within our service area.

A minimum fee (bench fee) of $30.00 will cover the troubleshooting of a computer.  Additional charges will be discussed with customers before any repairs take place.

In the event you would like PCR to perform repair services in your home or business a trip charge of $30.00 and a rate of $22.00/hr will apply (not to succeed 2 hours).  If a repair cannot be made within 2 hours, it would be necessary for the computer (excluding monitor, mouse and keyboard) to be removed from the home as a means to save the customer time and money.  This will warrant a reduced rate during completion of the task at hand.

PCR may need to take a computer to the work bench as a means to combat a problem.  If a computers is removed from a home or business, it will be returned within 4 days (excluding holidays), unless other arrangements have been made.  A receipt for the property will be provided upon removal.

PCR makes every effort to preserve data.  However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the computer owner to store copies of their files and programs.  PCR is not responsible for any loss of data stored or software installed on the computers hard drive or anywhere else within the system.

In the event PCR must format (erase) and re-install the operating system (ie: Microsoft Windows) all software will have to be re-installed and some data may be lost.  An extra charge of $15.00 will be required for an attempt to save any personal (non-replaceable) data.  Programs may be re-installed by PCR for an additional fee of $3.00 per program.

The time needed to network a home or business varies from one location to another.  Our customers should expect the technician to complete a networking task in about 2-6 hours depending on the number of computers to be networked and the type of installation.  The cost can also vary greatly.  The costs for a completely installed and configured network generally starts at $125.00 (this is very basic).  It may also be necessary to schedule the installation of  a network within a home or business two (2) weeks in advance.
